From the time I was a kid, I knew the world of teaching and learning was the path for me. I would often forego afternoon cartoons to teach a group of neighborhood kids I had convinced—cough—coerced—into studying reading and spelling. Those early experiences sparked a love for teaching and learning that has led to a career as a curriculum designer, educator, and facilitator. In my current role as co-director of the Innovation Labs at The Dali, I help organizations and teams—including my own—understand the habits of mind and processes that drive innovation, specifically, the key role that creativity plays, allowing them to enhance their creative thinking and problem-solving skills. When left to my own devices, I can usually be found blazing through a stack of books or working on my fiction writing.
