Christine Boyko-Head is an interdisciplinary educator, writer and advocate for arts-integration and creativity in higher education. While getting her doctorate at McMaster University in English Literature, she used her driver-thinking preference to co-found Parnassus Theatre, a company creating and producing original social-issues plays for young adults. From 2001 to 2011, she taught more than 90 courses in 16 states and Israel for Lesley University’s Integrated Teaching through the Arts Master's program. She has written over 100 scholarly, artistic and popular articles. She is an energetic presenter, keynote speaker, and curriculum consultant to domestic and international audiences. She has taught and presented for International Centre for Innovation in Education in Lisbon, Paris, Houston and Helsinki. Fro release in 2021, ICIE is publishing her book, Mind the Gap, containing arts-based exercises for literacy. In 2015, she received the Creative Education Foundation’s HUG award which included a hug from Bea Parnes. One of her hobbies is making the impossible possible and contributing to the beauty of life.
